Step 4: Inspection
Actions
4.1 After submitting the application, a Forestry Official will conduct an inspection of the consignment. This is to verify the quality, quantity, and legality of the timber being exported
4.2 Following the inspection, two certificates will be generated:
- Inspection Certificate – Certifies that the consignment has been inspected and meets the required standards.
- Timber Grading Certificate – Certifies the grade and quality of the timber being exported.
4.3 Applicant must submit this certificate to the nearest Biosecurity Office for further clearance.
4.4 Timber Grading Certificate is attached to the export application for further vetting
4.5 Phytosanitary Certificate to be issued once the consignment is cleared to leave the port
